How Is Audi Holding Up Compared To Its Compatriots In Crucial Markets?
Volkswagen AG‘s (OTCMKTS:VLKAY) luxury brand Audi formed 27% of the group’s revenue in 2015, and ~18% of the net volume sales, and is the second highest-selling premium automaker in the world behind BMW. Audi’s volume sales remain strong through the first four months of this year in crucial markets, despite the emissions issue. Audi is the largest premium automaker in China, and its sales held strong through April, a rebound after sales declined 1.4% in the country last year (passenger vehicle sales in China grew 7.3% in 2015). In the U.S., Audi grew its sales, unlike its competitors, shrugging off the supposed effects of the dieselgate scandal.
