How Careful Targeting of F-Series Sales Helped Ford Boost Its Profits
Here’s how unit sales of the F-series fared in fiscal year 2015.
Ford’s automotive revenue benefited from increasing sales and inventory management of the F-series. In Q2 as supplies of the F-series trucks dipped, Ford carefully targeted higher margin buyers. As inventory levels began to rise again in Q3 and Q4, similarly careful targeting achieved higher transaction prices leading to higher overall revenue for Ford.
Ford’s operating margins showed a similar trend.
